To few minutes by walk from Piccadilly Circus and from Leicester Square, there is Covent Garden, one of the zones favored by the Londoners to walk, to go shopping and to taste the dishes of the restaurants. For over 300 years, London's main market for fruit and vegetables operated at Covent Garden. Increasing congestion led to its being moved to a new site south of the river in the middle of Seventies. Today it entertains a marked of specialized in antique books and philately, those that once was the benches of fruit and vegetable, by now are suggestive stalls that sell a variety of items like clothing and jewelry.
